According to NPR's coverage of an essay Gates posted to his personal website, Microsoft founder Bill Gates is calling for governments to implement new regulations and international oversight bodies to manage artificial intelligence risks. Gates also proposes taxing AI algorithms that perform human work to slow the transition to automation and protect employment.
