Zoox receives federal approval to launch paid autonomous vehicle service
The Department of Transportation has approved Amazon-owned driverless vehicle company Zoox to begin offering paid rides to customers. The company plans to deploy up to 5,000 vehicles over the next two years, starting in Las Vegas, after previously operating a free testing program.
