Canada's captive whales relocated to aquariums in the United States

The final six captive whales from the closed Marineland theme park in Ontario have been transferred to aquariums in the United States, completing what NPR describes as the largest relocation of captive whales ever. In total, Marineland shipped 30 belugas and four dolphins to five aquariums. The park stated more than a year ago that it could no longer afford to keep the whales and that they would be euthanized unless relocation was permitted.
