Cape Verde goalkeeper's mother gains ability to travel to U.S. to see him play

NPR reports on Cape Verde's 40-year-old goalkeeper Vozinha, who became a breakout star at this year's World Cup after his saves helped his country earn a historic tie against Spain. According to NPR, Vozinha wept at the final whistle in part because his mother could not attend due to the cost of a U.S. visa bond — a barrier that, NPR reports, has since been resolved, allowing her to travel to see him play.
