Nepal flash flood kills over 900, leaves thousands missing across Nepal and Tibet

Nepal's disaster agency reported Monday that flash floods have killed 903 people in the country, with 4,247 missing — including 592 foreign nationals. According to Chinese authorities, the floods also caused 16 deaths and 546 missing on the Chinese side as of Sunday, with Chinese state media reporting 261 of those missing were foreigners, including more than 100 Nepalis. The Associated Press segment includes on-the-ground footage and accounts from affected residents.

One person died and approximately 15 others are unaccounted for after flash flooding struck Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona over the weekend. A 46-year-old man's body was found near Crystal Rapids along the Colorado River, park officials confirmed Sunday night. Nearly all footbridges spanning Bright Angel Creek were destroyed, cutting off hiker access and complicating rescue efforts. Additional rain was forecast for Monday.
